Refined through the years by customer feedback, the A Cut Above men's pilot uniform shirts are truly designed in collaboration with their customers.

 - Our slimmest cut through the shoulder, torso, waist, and sleeves. Appropriate for slim builds and those with proportionally large necks.

 - The best selling moderate fit that provides some ease without being overly bulky. A good all around fit for over 50% of our customers.

 - A straight cut through the body and larger sleeves for a relaxed look. For a loose fit, the more rotund, or those extra broad in the shoulders.

 - Mid-Weight | Polyester Spandex | Stretch and Easy Care | Open Pocket The synthetic performance yarns are woven as a micro twill weave for a traditional dress shirt look and feel while offering the easy care and stretch advantages of this performance fabric. Cool to the touch. Durable. Weight is between the Cirrus and Tropo. More synthetic feel than our other fabrics.

 - Mid-Weight 65% Polyester 35% Cotton The Cirrus is our most popular fabric. Soft and comforting combed cotton is blended with a polyester core to provide easy care without any chemical finishing. This traditional mid-weight twill has a soft surface without giving up the structured feel commonly expected in a pilot shirt. Available in the greatest number of sizes and fits, the Cirrus provides an optimal balance of durability, wrinkle-resistance, and comfort..

 - Heavy-Weight | Polyester Rayon Spandex | Tons of Stretch and Easy Care | Open Pocket The Tropo has been part of our line for over 10 years as it has a devoted following that love the comfort, ease of care, and the smooth modern look it provides; however, it is not as durable as our other fabrics due to surface pilling. The Tropo is paired with open pockets.

 - Mid-Weight | 39% Bamboo 57% Polyester 4% Spandex | Naturally Cool, Spandex for Stretch, Soft and Smooth - Open Pocket Added to the lineup for a luxury option. The Brooks is an exceptionally soft and cool fabric with stretch added for comfort. Polyester is blended in for strength and wrinkle resistance. Bamboo is stronger than rayon and similar to cotton but with less propensity to wrinkle.

Tall or Regular? Our guidance is to only order the Tall if you are 6’3” or above. The Tall shirts have an extra 1.5” in the body and ¾” in the sleeve. Our shirts are intentionally long to remain tucked in. Long Sleeves are regular length unless the sleeve length selected is 36/37” These long sleeves also have Tall Length bodies.

Let's get it right and find YOUR BEST FIT! All you need is your typical home tape measure to save the time and hassle of returning an incorrect size.

Our tall pilot shirts are 2” longer through the body and the short sleeve is 1” longer, making them appropriate for 6’3”+ only. Unlike other brands, we do not skimp on shirt length. If you are under 6’3”, our regular length is perfect.

Find your circumference, then add 1/2” for comfort ease.

Place tape measure around the chest at the nipple line, high up under the arms and over the shoulder blades in the back. The tape measure should be snug, so it does not droop down (but not tight).

Place tape measure at the base of the neck (prominent bone) extending over the shoulder, down the outside of the arm with the arm slightly bent, ending at the wrist joint.

Womens pilot shirts only come in Regular fit. There is also a Maternity fit available.

 - Wrinkle resistant mid-weight poly cotton twill prized for its durability and wrinkle resistance. Available in short sleeves only.

 - Nearly wrinkle free with tons of stretch makes this our most popular women's shirt fabric. Available in all the women's configurations. Made of polyester, rayon, and spandex, the fabric is heavier than the Cirrus but undergarment coverage is similar.

Open Collar - Made with a curved open placket and without the two top buttons. Intended to be worn without a necktie or with a scarf. The collar can be worn loose or fastened down by under buttons.

Tall versions have longer sleeves and body. Recommended for 5'9" and above or long torsos. Tall shirts will be 1 ½" (3.75cm) longer in the length and 1/2" (1.9cm) longer in the sleeves.
