The Visual Flight Rules Guide (VFRG) helps pilots prepare, plan and fly safely under the visual flight rules. The guide explains the rules in plain English and by using practical information and examples.
This guide contains general operating and flight rules and relevant regulations under Part 91 of the Civil Aviation Safety Regulations 1998 (CASR), as well as associated MOS provisions. The guide also includes requirements under other CASR Parts such as flight crew licensing, medical, drug and alcohol management plans etc.
The VFRG provides information on the following main sections:

- Planning your flight
- Flying your aircraft
- Flying your helicopter
- Radio communication procedures
- Decision making and hazards
