Inspiration

Like the Focke Wulf Flieger I watch before it, the Flieger II watch draws on the rich themes of the classic German aviator and pilot watches of the 1930’s. Military watches are tough, reliable and functional. The German watches of the 1930’s were purpose built to serve pilots and navigators, and they set a very high standard. The Flieger II watch follows this tradition to deliver a clean, legible and affordable chronograph. A genuine pilot’s watch, it is unaffected by magnetic fields at higher altitudes, dust, shock or vibration. It is inspired by the best traditions of German practicality, and is delivered today with Swiss precision.

Key Points

The Focke Wulf Aviator (Flieger) II watch has a large 43mm brushed high grade stainless steel plated case, with a flat black dial. The dial has minute numerals from 5 to 55, reflecting the design of the original B-Uhren Type B (Baumuster B). Together with the triangle and two dots at 12, the minute numerals were an important feature in allowing pilots and navigators to quickly process both the time, and the passage of time. The Focke Wulf Flieger II watch has a modern crown (controlling time and date), and two pushers (controlling the chronograph). The watch face is protected by K1 mineral crystal with sapphire coating for added strength, clarity and durability. The rear case plate is engraved with the Focke Wulf logo. The brushed buckle is inset with the Focke Wulf name.
