Rothco MA-1 Green Flight Jacket

The MA1 flight jacket is one of the most popular items from the U.S. Army to make it into the mainstream. Originally, flight jackets were issued to U.S. pilots to protect them from cold weather at high altitude from the late 1950's to the 70's. Since then, they have become an iconic garment across many different sub-cultures. Although the Air Force has stopped issuing the MA-1, the style lives on in civilian fashion.

This recreation of the classic MA-1 features a bright orange nylon lining with a warm polyester filling (200g/m²). An elasticated waist and cuffs help to retain more heat inside the jacket. In terms of storage, there are two front pockets with snap dome closures, a sleeve pocket and two internal pockets. The jacket has been treated with a polyurethane coating on the nylon outer shell for water resistance. Pick one up for it's warmth and classic military style.
